I Love You, Mom
              By Pragati Khanna

You are always there when I call
Always there to pick me up when I fall
Always there to manage all
But I always forget to thank you
Thank you mom for whatever you do
Thank you for making it a home from a zoo
I have realized why you taunt
Only to tell me what I really want
Only to guide me to the right direction
I wonder why don't you show your affection
And today I write this poem to tell you that it hurts  when you speak with harshness in your voice
I just smile and walk away, I don't have a choice
I can't cry and make you feel worse
You still are the best thing in the universe
I'm writing this poem to tell you
I want you to love me like you really do.

My First Day of School

                                        by Pragati Khanna

My first day of school
Was very cool
Some things went wrong
But they made me strong
I saw new faces
They brought memories in traces
Of my old friends
As they followed same trends
They came to me and tried to talk
And then we went for a long walk
I like them they are nice
They're happy and wise
Teachers here are friendly
But some might be deadly
Last I would say
Trying not to be jay
East or West my school is the Best!
