I Love You, Mom
By Pragati Khanna
You are always there when I call
Always there to pick me up when I fall
Always there to manage all
But I always forget to thank you
Thank you mom for whatever you do
Thank you for making it a home from a zoo
I have realized why you taunt
Only to tell me what I really want
Only to guide me to the right direction
I wonder why don't you show your affection
And today I write this poem to tell you that it hurts when you speak with harshness in your voice
I just smile and walk away, I don't have a choice
I can't cry and make you feel worse
You still are the best thing in the universe
I'm writing this poem to tell you
I want you to love me like you really do.
